Many and yes, it hurts the same each time although you start to know you will get over it.

Enough times to have lost count, but not yet enough to have renderd it irrepairable.

Once
By some jerk I was with for a year who decided the best way to break up with me was a text that said “Sorry, but the number you tried to contact is not longer in service” UGH
I just found out he’s lying to some other girl now, telling her he’s never had a girlfriend and lying about his rank in a military program (saying he’s an officer when he never even completed the first rank)

^^ Are you associated with military too? You have a liking for it for sure.

@imrainmaker Yes, it is how I met him the first place. It is called Civil Air Patrol.

imrainmaker's avatar

Sounds great!!..So you must be a cadet and he is officer in CAP ( that’s what he was claiming to be.)?

SergeantQueen's avatar

@imrainmaker Yes, He never got a rank at all. He decided to promote himself 9 times in one night and tell this girl he’s an officer.

Once, when I failed the entrance exam in college.

I wanted to study English. I never, ever thought about dealing with anything else. Studying English was my dream.
I failed the entrance exam. It was the only time in my life that I cried the whole day.

I didn’t give up, though. I decided to study Serbian instead. I realized it was the best decision I ever made. I really fell in love with my language, and started seeing it in a completely different light than I ever would if I didn’t study it.

I wouldn’t do anything else now to save my life, no matter how hard and stressful it is.

@Sneki95 did you learn English at school or by doing private lessons? If you learnt at school, your education system must be of a high standard.

Sneki95's avatar

@ZEPHYRA I studied English in primary and high school, and I listened to English media. Also, internet.

Twice. Then one girl broke it three times….

It’ll probably kill me one day. It’s pretty terrible. I’m not really over my ex,and it’s been too long. I’ve been trying to move on. It is what it is…

^^ You are a tough man..you’ll get over it eventually!!

Quite a few and each time was painful. While I survived each incident, the pain for some remains with me (the loss of loved ones). Where I have healed completely from other incidents (relationship break-ups).

MrGrimm888's avatar

@imrainmaker . Thank you. I’m trying.

Earthbound_Misfit's avatar

It can take a long time @MrGrimm888. Are you going out and meeting new people? Sometimes the best way to heal is to find a new special person. Not easy I know, but you have to put yourself out there and be open to the possibility. I’m sure there’s a lovely person out there for you.

^ Yeah. I meet lots of girls on my job,but they aren’t usually what I’m looking for. They are mostly bar girls. I have been looking for a good girl. Even nerdy. I was talking with a girl who was a kindergarten teacher. She seemed different than most of the other girls, and seemed to fit my criteria. But then she got drunk and made out with some other guy ,right in front of me. So I cut her loose.

I’ve been putting myself out there. But it’s been a rocky road.

I have a lot of trouble trusting women right now. They’re usually just trying to use me. So that’s working against me in my head.

But I’m trying….
