How much attention can you handle at once?

Asked by blackbetty (425points) February 28th, 2017

Forgive me please. I don’t quite know how to word this question.

How much time do you give to your friends after your daily responsibilities with work and family.

I have three friends wanting to converse with me online but I’m in the mood to chill. I want space out after a day of peopling. Do I respond or ignore them until tomorrow. I don’t want to appear rude.

I’m lost as to the issue with the OP on this particular thread.

To answer the question, I value my time to myself and I’ve had a friend who keeps getting on me because she says she needs “dinners, phone calls and movies” and I need or want none of that. I am fine seeing my friends twice a year if it comes to that. Phone calls, I’m not into at all unless there’s something important like death or illness in the family. I like being alone. I like people too but I’m ok shopping alone, going to movies alone, stuff like that.

I turn off all my communication lines and take that time.

Yep, I am totally comfortable alone as well, like as @jca says. Don’t pressure me or I will dump you. haha
