What's wrong with the audio in my video clips?

Asked by ScottyMcGeester (1897points) April 1st, 2017

I’ve made many YouTube videos and I’m making another one like any other video I make.

I import my video clips to Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and then when I’m editing the clips I notice something strange happens.

Halfway through each clip – the audio restarts. For example, in the first clip I say “Hi, I’m scottymcgeester and welcome to” and so on and so forth. But then halfway through the clip, the audio restarts. It says again “Hi, I’m scottymcgeester and welcome to” even though the video continues and I’m supposed to be saying something different. This makes it impossible to edit the clips because I don’t know where to cut now.

This doesn’t happen when I play the clips independent of the video editing software. When I play the clips on Windows – the audio is fine.

I even tried it on another Adobe video editing software thinking that maybe something was wrong with Premiere Elements 10. Nope. It still happened.

I’m using the same camera that I always used.
