Why am I getting new message notifications for the ios facebook messenger app but there are no new messages?

Three messages are highlighted as new, in bold black but in reality, they are all old and I’ve already clicked them open and read them.
Why am I still getting new message notifications for these particular messages? It doesn’t matter how many times I click on them, they always revert back to new. No other messages behave this way. How do I fix this?

Get this I get these urgent Facebook messages on my email, strange thing I don’t do Facebook or have any account dealing with them in any way.
I have been deleting them, and still get them, I block them and they still come, strange right?
