Which laptop should I buy [details inside]?

Asked by Madpawn (8points) August 12th, 2017

Hey everyone, I’m a student who’s about to start university and thought about buying a new laptop for school and occasional gaming. Right now, I’m hesitating between Asus Zenbook and MSI GL62m 7RDX-1427CA. Any thoughts on which computer is the best suited for my needs? Other than that, I’m opened for other suggestions as long as it stays in the same price range (Around 1200$ CAD)

Most colleges and universities in the USA have “specials for laptops” at the book store. There maybe requirements for Operating System or minimum RAM for running projects.

Contact the University and see what they recommend.

I was a PC user, then when I went to Grad school in 2012 I got a Macbook pro and I’ve never been happier. I’m in my second Macbook pro now (the first I gave it to my brother, and that one eventually saved his life, literally).

You can recycle your PC, get apple credit in return, and when you purchase a new Macbook pro they will throw a pair of wireless beats (back to school promo). Details here: https://www.apple.com/us-hed/shop
