Do you think this paragraph is as strange as I think it is?

Asked by Friendofeveryone (80points) November 2nd, 2017

So this guy has a boyfriend. On cold nights, his boyfriend’s mouth gets cold for some reason??? huh??? Anyway… Neither of them have enough money to buy scarves or anything like that, so he had a roll of duct tape that he asked if he “could use some of it to wrap around his mouth to warm it” his boyfriend said yes so he did. This is a very strange story I heard a while back. What do you think of this?

Strange but plausible.

Don’t opine on whether you believe it or not without getting more information yes or no.

Sounds like a mouth breather.

Welcome to Fluther.

I can only imagine how strange you find that story – “very” is my hope for you – but I find it strange to the point of disbelief, if not outright improbability.

I once had to walk a mile or so on a very cold, windy night. I couldn’t find my gloves or mittens, so I wore a pair of disposable medical gloves (I keep a supply, for when I use household cleansers). They worked surprisingly well; they blocked the wind and keep my hands warm.

So, I guess duct tape could serve as a makeshift scarf! My own story is goofy but 100% true, so why not?

Strange is in the mind of the normative person judging things.

I’ve known folk with behavior I’d say was stranger. I’d also say that at times I have behaved more strangely myself, both on purpose and not on purpose.

The duct tape thing I would agree seems strange to me. I don’t think it would work very well.

That paragraph is, indeed strange. Somewhat disjointed and random.

I think it is strange, too
