It would cost £1.15 to send 60AUD from the UK using transferwise. I would think it would be much the same from the US.

It’s to hard to,explain to them about anything other than western union. Thanks, though !

It is quite straightforward and quick. All you need is their account details and the money will be transferred in one day.

I can log into WU later today. Do you still need the info? Their website is awful. I do all my WU in person, but I send to difficult countries in the Middle East and Africa to pay our reporters.

Also, keep in mind there is always a risk of the receiving country charging a fee at pick, but hopefully Australia doesn’t do that.

It’s expensive. I just checked with Chase (my bank) on-line.

If I send 50 USD, it converts to 66.37 AUD. But they charge a $40 US wire fee.

I am sure there are better deals out there. My bank doesn’t do a lot of forex; better to find a bank that specializes in it.

^^I think she wants WU. I just haven’t had a chance to log in. I don’t know the password by heart it is my boss’ account.

^^^That isn’t what was asked. And who uses Western Union? Might as well use American Express, they are international.

I checked Transferwise rates from the US to Australia. To send 60 Australian dollars will cost exactly $45.87. That includes $1.59 in fees. I don’t think anyone can beat that. The transfer is very speedy as no money actually crosses any borders. Transferwise send the money from their own bank account in Australia.

Thank you all, the problem is, that from here for whatever reason my search keeps assuming that I want to send money from here. The problem was I need to know western union fees to send from the USA to here. I know how to transfer money, I know how to explain how explain how to transfer money. My family doesn’t understand technology and it’s just to frustrating to try to explain anything so western union is a thing they are aware of that exists. Thanks all, eh they’ll probably ignore my request anyway lol.

Exchange rate is 1 USD for 1.303 AUD.

No problem. So sorry it took me so long. I had a Chanukah event I was performing in today, and It took me a while to get around to it.

For next time, I think you have to make sure you are on the US WU site so it assumes you are sending from the US. You don’t even need to log in, you can just look at what it will cost. I couldn’t log in, because it’s been so long since I’ve tried online my boss must have changed the password. She changed a ton of passwords two months ago when she had some sort of breech.

Or, you can always ask me. I can give you my phone for WhatsApp if we haven’t traded that already so you can message me.

@JLeslie it’s on its way thank you soo much!!!! The WU will NOT show me anything other than if I want to send from here. That was my problem. When I entered wu USA it just kept going to wu au site. Gah!! Dm your whatsapp number will you? Or you can message it on fb thanks again

Ok, I’ll PM you here. I’ll send you the link to the American site. Maybe it will work then?
