There’s a little town in Iowa, when I was a kid we would often stop for ice cream on the way through. I haven’t been there in years, so I don’t know if the little cafe in Agency is still there and serving great soft serve or not. They had the best, and they could stack that ice cream impressively high above the cone.
That is what I think of when I hear the word agency.

By itself, I think “noun or vowel?”

It can also be a noun, as in, “Is there an agency in this building?”

that’s what I ask if a building does not already indicate this on a wall or sign.

@Yellowdog I meant verb not vowel. Senior moment.

CIA, FBI, IRS, Mustang Ranch.

@kritiper – I could buy into everything but Mustang Ranch. That one threw me.

My son does electronic installation work, security cameras, wall mount TVs, computer systems, and his company is registered with several handyman referral agencies.
