Does Mercury have a comet cluster?

Sorry if I’m not informed on the topic, but I’ll note that I didn’t ask ”Is Mercury a comet cluster?”

If so, I am unaware. I’ll have to check that out.

To be clear, are you asking if it has been pummeled by numerous comets, or are you thinking that it might be what Mercury is made of?

@Patty_Melt: You tell me both, but, for the record, I was not asking the second.

no. Anything in the solar system with a gravitational field will have cometary dust or particles circling it, but the comets belong to the sun, in clusters or alone
