How can I fix my phone?

Asked by emorris25 (84points) May 19th, 2020

Ok so I have a Alcatel Idol 3 from Cricket. It used to be my dads but he switched to Verizon a couple years back then added me to his plan a month or so ago. We ended up getting a BOGO deal the Samsung Galaxy S20+. Well, Long story short I was working on my car and I had my phone laying on the bottom of the windshield there and I left it there and a PA State Trooper pulled up and started talking to me. I left the parking lot forgetting that my phone was on the hood and I went around a turn and it flew off. My dad still had his phone from cricket so I went to Walmart to get a sim card kit and plan through cricket. There’s something wrong with the phone and I was wondering if there’s a way to reset my phone so its like I bought it new?

I’m not familiar with Cricket or that specific phone. I do know on the Samsung phone that you can go into the settings & do a refresh which takes it back to the it was on the day you bought it so you can rebuild any way you like. I’ve never needed to do mine but I think that you might find it if you go into settings, scroll down to “about phone”, scroll down to the bottom and click on “reset”. If that doesn’t work, call or go into Cricket and ask them how to reset your phone, Or read here
Good luck
