Would Trump holding up a Bible be the perfect pose for his future monument?

Asked by mazingerz88 (28825points) June 2nd, 2020

I can really see Trump fans especially religious conservatives erecting a monument in the future for Trump.

It’s either a huge monument the same height as MLK’s in DC ( maybe even higher ) or at the least a golden statue installed outside the inevitable Presidential Library. Of sorts.

Would Trump holding up a Bible be the perfect pose for said monument or statue? What other possible poses can you think of?

I could think of one but it would be rude

Either that, or the cringey photo of him hugging the American flag at a campaign rally.

The one that popped into my mind is trump bent over with MLK spanking him with the Bible with the phrase “you’re a very bad boy” engraved on the attached plaque!!!

I think behind bars, in handcuffs, and/or playing golf will be fitting.

Republicans typically don’t normally build monuments or statues to their leaders.

Those who do, from the Confederacy to the present-day Democrats, are typically trying to ensure that history is remembered a certain way.

Wasn’t Abraham Lincoln a republican???

From that era, which do you see more of? Republican statues or Confederate statues?

Even throughout the 20th century, just about all statues of government leaders are Democrats.

There are no statues of Reagan, even though many Democrats regard him as one of the best presidents in American history.

Aw, c’mon—during the impeachment, she said she told us she was a devout Catholic, and said she prayed for the president and this was a really so-solemn, so sad time. Then she was partying and giving away pens the impeachment was signed with,

Yesterday, she read from Ecclesiastes “To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven… ” and declared that this was a time to refrain from embracing.
