Cannot keep my succulents alive more than a week. Please help?

Asked by katewilliams (245points) November 9th, 2021

I kept the water amount in check, the sunlight too. They still are on the verge of dying.

Give no water for a while.
It’s common to give succulents too much water rather than to little.

Make sure the PH of the soil isn’t too much one way or the other.
Also, be aware that the soil itself may be to blame, if you’re not using potting soil.
Remember! Dirt is inert. Soil makes things grow.

Vote for overwatering. That’s usually it. Remember succulents tolerate low water conditions better than floods.

I think maybe you are overwatering also. Try skipping watering 3 or 4 days and see if it helps. Are they outside or indoors?

Try unglazed clay pots with drainage and succulent soil.

The less you fuss over a plant the better it does
