Has anyone here had a keloid scar?

My son has a keloid scar that has recently developed a painful bump right in the middle of it. We’re going to the doctor on Friday, but has anyone here dealt with keloid scarring or heard of any such issue?

i’ve got keloid skin, so has my daughter. Never heard of a bump in the middle. I scar very easily. My daughter had a mole removed and the scar is worse than the mole…

I’ve learned to live with it.

It never bothered either of us re: any piercings or tattoos.

I even have scar tissue (JUST WHAT EVERYONE WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ME!)
in my va-jay-jay area, after giving birth.

Sucks.

Our family forms keloids. However, once they do form, they don’t change, except to get a little more elastic if they are stretched. Trip to Doc’s to check new painful bump sounds like a good idea.
