How can I index my gmail with Spotlight (in OS X)?

I'd love to use spotlight to search through my emails in gmail...

Are you using POP3 to get your gmail in Mail.app?

Like "glial" said, set up your gmail account in Mail.app. It's an awesome application. Spotlight will index that for sure, plus it's 10x better than managing your mail through a browser. Below is the link to setting up your Gmail account in Mail:
