I thought about using them for a while but ultimately decided not to.

Three reasons:

1) they appear to be a ‘one trick pony’ all they do is wealth management and retirement stuff.
I’m not that wealthy, and my retirement is handled with another financial company.

2) They’re all about Investment advisors who manage for you. I have had bad experiences previously with middle-men handling my money – they did things to enrich themselves, and not me. They’re not supposed to do that, but…

3) And third, most petty reason. The owner – Mr Fisher – appears in a lot of their advertising, and his persona (in TV ads and in interviews) is that of an unfriendly, gruff, unapproachable person. I would prefer having positive impressions of leadership.

4) Fourth – go to their web page, specifically Executive Leadership. https://www.fisherinvestments.com/en-us/about/leadership/executive-leadership There 19 executives on that page – only three of which are female.

That gives me the impression of a misogynistic, male-run, backwards organization. In the year 2024, for a leadership team to be so male-dominated is wrong.

NEVER heard of them, but the one true thing that I’ve learned in real life is that you should NEVER put all your eggs in one basket unless you have it to lose!!! You should ALWAYS diversify. Remember Bernie Madoff??? He stole life savings from very close friends. You don’t know these people & they don’t know you

@LadyMarissa Fisher is not “ONE BASKET” but it requires an upfront investment !
