i was apart of the All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir when i was in high school. We were a group of about 200 high school students hand picked from across the state to stay 18 days at the Ohio State Fair. singing around 100 performances.

it was extreamly physically and mentally draining, and probably one of the hardest things ive ever done.i lived in a dorm room with 59 other girls and we all shared one locker room style bathroom. i had to carry my 20lb folder of music, folding chair, and water bottle everywhere i went for 5 days. we would have endless rehersals with around 7 performances a day. and would march to every performance we had. we had to memorize around 70 songs from about every genre around.

but i learned so much about myself and about love in those summers than i could ever have imagined. i bonded with those complete strangers deeper than the people i have known all my life. we became family. we had to struggle togther and learn from eachother. you had to learn to trust your peers along with your directors.

and none of that would have happened if it hadnt ben for our head director Mr. Snyder. I have never known a person quite like him. he has more love for us than we ever could return.

i would love to go back and experience the music that moved me and the atmosphere that changed me again. i miss it with all my heart.

Oh God, yes. I can’t really go in to it here but my topics would include life, love, outdoors, Marvin Gaye, summer and skunk cabbage.
(adri, I love the collard greens topic! Are you willing to share?)

when i was with my first wife, i had applied, about 4 years into the marriage, for a job with chicago police. the day of the written test, she managed to talk me out of taking the test by saying the job was too dangerous and i could die early. i reluctantly passed up the opportunity on her advice and spent the afternoon at a mall with her. i was sick the whole time, thinking i should be taking a test for a real cool career instead of weaving in and out of stores. we divorced a couple years later. i should have taken that test.

my advice: do listen to your wife, but make sure the wife is the right person.

today i work for one of the largest sheriff’s departments in the nation, but by now i could probably be a commander with chicago police.

I would have to say that I would not have freaked out and consumed an entire bottle of aspirin plus other pills to attempt suicide. It only resulted in my sister trying to save my life and being so angry at me for it. It was by far the most frightening and uncomfortable thing I’ve ever gone through needlessly.

I ended up alienating my family, friends and co-workers because they didn’t understand why I would do something like that.

All in all I learned that years later I will still be unable to swallow any type of pill without flashbacking and partially gagging.

Not nice.

yes lots.
1. The best sex i ever had
2. My best horse – one particular day, cross country in the autumn, she felt like she was flying across hedges, the sky was red and gold etc at dusk, was other worldly, on that day I remember thinking that if i died then, it was worth it for that.
3 Last holiday with my dad, on a big sail boat across the bay of fetiye in turkey
4 pink floyd concert
5 passenger in a little airplane doing aerobatics -Wow!!
6 and of course havent made all the right decisions like anyone ..if i had my time again would do a few things differently.

I’d like to relive the 2 1/2 years of my first marriage but be able to live it again while not married to my first wife. Living it the second time around being single would be much better.

Definitely the moment my husband asked me to marry him – it happened so fast, I sort of didn’t realize what was happening until it was over! It’s one of my best memories, but the details are a little fuzzy…

Also, the first time I got to hold my sister after she was born – I was six years old, so I do remember it, but not very clearly. And I had wished for a little sister for so long – it was one of the happiest moments of my life! =)

Yes, a moment in my garden twelve years ago. It’s hard to put into words as they will inevitably diminish the experience. But here goes…

I was admiring a white rose flower when suddenly I lost all sense of self.
There was no separate me observing the rose, it was as though creation itself was observing the beauty of itself.

A knowing that the whole of the universe, without time, was looking through eyes at it’s own being the rose and the world it had grown in.

Moments later my mind/intellect or whatever began to move back in and the epiphany moved out.

Oneness, Unity,Peace and profound beauty marked the experience.

Afterwards I felt uplifted but saddened that “I” had interfered and foreshortened the experience by trying to analyse it.
