I don’t know about getting paid for them but there are several places that take old cell phones, clean the information out of them and then the phones are donated to women’s shelters or to senior citizens. The phones are not activated with a phone service but the recipient is still able to use it to call 911.

There are a few websites that will take your old cell phones but the most popular one is cellforcash.com. The good thing about doing this online is that you can find out how much they are going to give you for them before you send them.

As the above poster wrote, you can donate them and thats always a nice thing to do. Plus if you own your own business you can use that as a tax write-off. Just get a receipt when you drop them off.

Good Luck

You won’t get paid in cash but last year one of my coworkers collected them to be refurbished by one of the phone companies to be used by soldiers overseas.

I second basp on donating them. That’s what I’ve done with every other cell phone I’ve had. You don’t get much money for them at all, and they’re really useful to those women.
