Why Cant My Linksys Router Not Connect To The Internet?

i have a linksys router [BEFSR41] and for some odd reason it cant connect to the internet…i already have a modem provided by timewarnercable..so all i needed was a router to connect my new computer….so i bought this router and i installed it….my normal computer gets internet buy my other computer does not and i can figure out why…my normal computer a HP A305w is supposed to share internet with my E machines T6420..but nothing works…i already restarted everything and i tried lots of things probably your answer is something i already tried…But i am still looking for answers and give me anything you GOT…THANKS
