What milk can be used for Amish Friendship Bread?

Whole milk, 2%, 1%, skim, or lactose free?

For baking in general, whole milk is usually best because it has the “full flavor” and is a bit more “creamy”, but I’m sure any milk would work. I’ve never made friendship bread in particular, but if the recipe doesn’t call for a certain type of milk, whatever you prefer should be fine.
