Yes. The comfort and warming sensations are not overstated.

(Note: Have not had it since moving to Florida.)

No, but I remember that Lifesavers candy used to have a Buttered Rum flavor. I don’t know if they still do.

marinelife's avatar

@answerjill The do. I love those from my childhood, because my grandpops used to carry a roll in his pocket and give us one when we visited.

Best Lifesaver flavor EVER.

I have had hot buttered rum, and I find I heartily dislike the butter component. It feels greasy to me. I much prefer mulled wine or Irish coffee.

I used to wonder what evil fiend invented Buttered Rum Lifesavers. They did not taste like candy to me when I was a child. Perhaps I would think differently with my adult palate, but I don’t know. I am not a huge fan of Butterscotch either.

augustlan's avatar

@Darwin If you don’t like Butterscotch, you probably wouldn’t like the BR Lifesavers either. Pretty similar and delicious!

@Darwin: Fine then, we’ll just stick to Irish Coffees; pass the whiskey!! :)
