Should I make my artwork full size on my portfolio?

Asked by johnny0313x (1855points) March 4th, 2009

Of course there are thumbnails but when I link from the thumbnail, should I have the full HUGE version of posters and things like that come up or a downsized(but still semi-large) version?

I think downsized, but still semi-large would be fine as long as details are fairly clear.

I agree with Marina. I usually max it out at 800–1000 width or height, most people looking at portfolios and artists pages nowadays aren’t on dinky monitors. :)

I advise that to make the photos load faster 72 dpi and no wider than 7” on largest side.
Also I strongly advise a watermark with copyright and your name for anything placed on the internet.
