How come hotels never have Comedy Central in their TV package?

Asked by Mamradpivo (9665points) March 16th, 2009

The Daily Show is a great way to wind down, but most hotels I stay in don’t seem to offer Comedy Central. But they offer other Viacom channels like MTV. Does anyone know why they would skip this network in favor of Animal Planet and 9 sports channels?

Really? Last year at the end of May/beginning of June I drove from the Idaho/Washington border back to Albany, NY. I stayed in four hotels and watched The Daily Show and The Colbert Report every night before bed.

They want you to save all your gutteral outbursts of extasy for the more important other hotel activity.

@MacBean Really. This is my third hotel this year (two Starwoods and tonight a Holiday Inn) that doesn’t have Comedy Central. It’s just kind of a bummer, though not the biggest deal in the world.

if you laugh too hard, you shit the bed.

and that’s not worth a free USA Today.

well. it all depends where you stay. Every place i’ve stayed in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Missouri and Florida had CC…

I stayed in the Microtel in Plattsburgh NY recently and CC was blocked. I wonder if it has something to do with the hotel chain.
