What did you think of "Sometimes a Great Notion?"?

Asked by Mamradpivo (9665points) April 7th, 2009

I’ve lived in Oregon for two and a half years now, and I’m trying really hard to get into this classic about Oregon life by Ken Kesey. I’m having trouble reading more than a few pages at a time.

Have you read it? Is it worth my time? Does it get easier? I’m a very avid reader, this is just very slow going.

I actually read the whole thing years and years ago. I remember almost giving up on it, but something about the style and the authenticity of everything kept me going. I still remember some of the plot and characters, so that says something good about it, I suppose.
