Do yourself a favor and spend another $20 or so to get a Sony

You can get a basic player for less than 50 bucks, but they’re pretty flimsy. This one will have fewer tracking problems than other models, and it’s got an HDMI output if you want to use it with HDTV. It also has a baseband NTSC output for playback on an analog set.
