How many calories are in 1 pound of fat?

I think the tradeoff is 9 calories per gram of fat. So if there are 454 grams in a pound, that’s about 4,100 calories.

1 pound of pure fat contains 4082 calories.

1 pound of body fat is equal to 3500 calories because part of that pound contains water and protein in the cells that make up body fat.
