Does anyone know of a Free Acrobat Professional Alternative?

Asked by se_ven (789points) July 29th, 2009

I’m specifically looking for a program that can add and edit form fields to a PDF in the same manner Acrobat Professional would. Also, any limitations or other issues of interest around the software would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve searched for free solutions before. I could find nothing. Foxit Editor is cheap and works well though.

Thanks @itsjustmatt, while not free, $99 is much better than the $499 Adobe asks for…

Sumatra PDF is light and efficient.

@Mrgelastic Sumatra is a reader, it cannot create PDF forms.

My favorite PDF creator is NitroPDF Professional. It costs, but it’s much less than what Adobe asks for theirs, and in my opinion is easier to use.
