Guys: Would you ever do your girlfriend or wife's nails?

Asked by MrGV (4170points) August 25th, 2009

Filing, buffing, and polishing…if you don’t, why not?

Girls: Would you like it if they did?

Sure
and snuff some nail polish…

I would love if my boyfriend would learn to do my nails. I still am not very good painting my right hand since I’m right handed, and at times it would be convenient.

What I’m really working on though is getting him to learn how to french braid my hair. When I do it myself it’s awful, but when someone else does it it’s foxy ;)

i would cut them short, like it should be.
i hate long fingernails.

My husband has done my toenails for me several times, including polishing. I love it!
My ex-husband learned how to paint our daughters’ fingernails, and I thought that was great, too.

He’s not as thorough of a groomer as I am so, I’ll just do them myself :)

If my fiance ever wanted her nails done (which she doesn’t- she hates painted nails, but likes painted toes), I’d totally do it.

Also, is anyone else entranced by those nail-polish remover jars with the sponge-with-holes that you dip your fingers into? Because I am.

I’m pretty confident that if he could, my fiance would do my finger nails and my toenails!

Done it, and shes done mine.

Awww. Of course. Why not? I find that attractive.

My husband takes care of my nails, he does the clipping and nail polish if I ask. I like it, he’s better at it than I am. haha

Here’s what Thom Ward said:

“At Twenty-Three Weeks She Can No Longer See Anything South of Her Belly,”

I’m painting my wife’s toes
In Revlon Super Color Forty Nine.

I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
She asked me to get the bottle,

then crashed on our bed,
muscle-sore, pelvis-aching.

Lifting the brush, I skim
the excess polish across the glass,

daub a smidgen on her nail,
push it out in streaks

over the perfect surface
to the cuticle’s edge.

I’m painting my wife’s toes.
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

The smell of fresh enamel
intoxicates. Each nail I glaze

is a tulip, a lobster,
a scarlet room where women

sit and talk, their sleek,
tinctured fingers sparking the air.

I highly doubt my hypothetical significant other would want me to try to beautify her feet or hands. It’s not as if mine are maintained at all.

If she asked, I’d give it a try. A decent enough bonding experience I suppose.

No. Seems like there are better alternatives if you’re really just trying to display affection.
—-unless there’s some sort of incentive. and even then, what sort of incentive are we looking at?—

Sure, I’d do her fingernails.
I’d do any part of her.

My wife doesn’t paint her nails, but she does have me trained to give back rubs and foot massages, and all she has to do is ask. yeah, I know you other ladies are jealous of her.

Haha, I read the question inadvertently skipping “nails.”
And no, I wouldn’t….unless she’d do me too.
Oh, my nails i mean.
