Has anyone attended one of the Town Hall Meetings on health care reform?

Asked by alive (2953points) August 25th, 2009

Any funny or frightening stories you’d like to tell about going to one of the town hall meetings?

Did you learn anything new or was it just the same ol’ bull sh*t?

They are seeming less like meetings, and less like an opportunity to talk to your congress person directly, and more like political rallies, and more comment oriented than question oriented.

I was one of the organizers of Sen. Sherrod Brown’s health care town hall here in Columbus, OH. It was a very productive meeting, with honest questions being asked and good, true answers being given. The “bad guys” stayed outside holding signs that read, among other things, “Government, get your hands off my Medicare.” [sigh]
