Can and how do you wash Faux Fleece?

Asked by johnny0313x (1855points) September 27th, 2009

I have a chair that is Faux Fleece but you can unzip the cover off the chair. I am guessing this is so that you can wash it if it gets dirty. There are no washing instructions and I was wondering if I will ruin the material if I wash it or if I should wash it a certain way?

I’d imagine that cool water and “permanent press” wouldn’t hurt it, but I would wash it alone the first time, in case the color bleeds.

This is the consensus: “machine wash cold and tumble dry low or hang dry.”
