What are some good modern rock pianists? Like Ben Folds. Looking for a piano HSC song?

Five Iron Frenzy
Dispatch
Guster

None of these are as good as Ben Folds, but still pretty good.

Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers comes to mind immediately.

I’m a fan of Bruce Hornsby, but he’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

I can’t remember for sure right now, but I think Jack White dabbles in piano from time to time.

White Rabbits use a lot of piano, but mostly as another percussion instrument (which it is.)

Regina Spektor can be rock-ish, but I’m not sure she’s what you’re looking for . . . although her and Ben Folds did a song together, “You Don’t Know Me”.

Showing my ignorance, what is HSC ?

@tb1570 how about the Raconteurs “You don’t understand me”, not sure if Jack White plays piano on it.

update: he does ..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYca030AQ-k

I’m not sure what HSC is…but A Fine Frenzy, Coldplay, The Hush Sound, Regina Spektor Eleisha Eagle, The Fray, Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones (although she’s more jazz), and Ingrid Michaelson (in some songs)
