How to get user's feedback on a new website?

To promote a new website, we can follow standard protocol like press release, publish to other websites etc. What are the different ways to get feedback from users (Crowd) on usefulness of the concept?

Buzz, you could have a feedback form on the site, alternatively if you really wanna communicate with visitors, customers you should get a software like www.veristlabs.com. its pre launch, if you ask they could hook you up with a free pre launch version. You also get your own facebook application so people can send ideas and feedback directly from there.
