General Question

I have had flu syptoms. the doctor at walgreens said that i should drink gatorade. is that to keep me hydrated or what is is for?

First of all that person isn’t a doctor.
Second, if you need to be rehydrated, Gatorade is a good way to go.
Pedialyte is also good for this.

To sell Gatorade. Ostensibly it is to keep your electrolytes in balance while you rehydrate, but you don’t have to buy Gatorade to accomplish that.

Yeah, I would recommend Pedialyte more than Gatorade.

Alternately, take half a glass of fresh orange juice add the same amout of water and add half a tea spoon of salt.

Pedialyte is good, and Gatorade will do the job. You need the electrolytes.
It’s what your body wants.

Doctors at Walgreen’s? Really?

Electorlytes, fluids, more platable than water, better for you than other fluids with more calories when you’re lying about.
