Is there any way to see how many hits a certain site is getting right now?

Google Zeitgeist. It gives info on current search trends and ranks website traffic.

There isn’t really any good way of seeing realtime data for sites you don’t own or control. Compete, Alexa, and Quantcast all have data you can pull from, it just won’t be in realtime.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities Zeitgeist, I can’t believe I forgot about it! I second that choice, not realtime but awesome data can be pulled from it.

I wanted to see how many hits a certain site was getting due to some big news regarding it’s new product/software.

I just used scoopler to see wut ppl were saying.
