What's a mulled cider recipe that involves using a whole orange?

Asked by lapilofu (4325points) November 20th, 2009

I know I’ve seen people mull cider—I think by sticking whole cloves in an orange and boiling the orange in the cider—but I can’t find a recipe like this online. Does anyone mull cider this way?

Sounds good whatever it is

I usually just use mulling spices that have orange peel in them, but this looks like a fantastic recipe. Honestly, while putting the cloves in the orange would make for easy removal later, cutting up the orange will distribute the flavor of it better and the cloves may well fall out anyway.
