Edit: oops – you want it free. I had a good one for Hebrew – but it aint cheap. About 800 bucks. Nevermind.

@mikeblack: I admire your interest in other languages (you might want to perfect your English first). Find a Synagogue; often someone there gives Hebrew lesson; you can start by simply memorizing the letters and learning how to write them. For Russian, again perhaps you have a Russian community nearby. You can learn the Cyrillic alphabet also on line.

I have used this
to review the alefbet I learned in Hebrew school as a kid. Remember to read from right to left.

Here is the Cyrillic alphabet and many helpful hyperlinks.

@gailcalled That’s what I was thinking. I’m glad you said it first. Its so much better to learn your own language before trying to learn others.

@avvooooooo:It’s indeed better, isn’t it?

@avvooooooo and @gailcalled Sometimes people become better at their own languages while studying other ones. My vocabulary broadened in English when I studied Spanish, and my grammar became much better also.

I am not a Secretary, or Professional Writter. Some People suffer from a very real problem of “dyslexya”. It has nothing to do with Intellect, just the way one Writes, and expresses them Selves on paper/other Media. I had no intention of being PERFECT-there was this one guy—Jeasus..but i guarentee i have Skill sets that out weigh My Typing skills. I fight for freeedom! I pull 24 Hr Watch. I Serve My Country. What have You done lately-besides Critique other Peoples Grammer?-some of these Peoples replies are keeping Us ALIVE-So be more sensitive—or Intelligent, or do not answer @ all—if You are offering no “SOLUTIONS!” t.y.-mike——I usuakky tyoe in all caps because these keys are so small! Im 6’2”, and 124—so My Hands are way to big for these tiny Keys!!! That about does it, i was gonna go off on you, but instead choose the “Higher Path”..With My explenation. Are You o.k. now? Hope so!

@mikeblack There is No Reason for randomly capitalizing Words. It makes no sense At all. Just because people Don’t fight for their country Or just because They’re on this site doesn’t Mean that they’re not doing anything Worthwhile. Want to talk About Judging People? Then don’t do it yourself. And if you’re going To pat yourself on the Back for not being Rude to people, try actually not Being rude and insulting Peoples’ intelligence, what they do With their lives, or Anything Else.

People who have dyslexia do not randomly capitalize words for no reason. If you would like to claim dyslexia, it might serve you to know something about it.

—Sorry – I have had to edit the first reply: I had just been looking (online and by cellphone) for a course for a friend – Hebrew lessons online via video conference – when I “stumbled upon” this question by the newbie – thought I’d add it. Then I re-read the request for a free course – and quickly edited it – but wasn’t clear in my intent, apparently – as you cannot hear the tone of voice, nor do you know that I live in Israel and would be very happy if more people learned Hebrew ( – just as I have learned English and other languages. Languages are awesome, to quote my daughter, the more the merrier – the better to communicate with – especially spoken – as I don’t see very well and rely on my sense of hearing much more than my vision.

Sorry for the misunderstanding everyone.

Lurve ya.
