Can you encrypt a picture in a QR code?

Asked by XOIIO (18328points) December 3rd, 2009 from iPhone

I was wondering if you can encrypt an actual image as a QR code, so that it shows up when scanned. I know you could put the image code on as text, but that would be harder to decode and be more time consuming.

There would be way too much data, and it would be tough to decode. The best bet would be to put the image on a hosting site (like flickr) and then make the link into a QR code.

I made this. You could use an image as a background, but a lot of white would make the code impossible to be read. Yes, that’s me
