What 42" LCD TV should I get?

depends if u want cheap or good. I used to work at costco and u wouldn’t believe how many vizios we got returned. Vizio is cheap, moneywose and quality.

samsung. Go to best buy and you can see how great the picture looks. They have both a 360 n a PS3 so u can see how nice it looks ;)

Sony Bravia XBR. Stunning.

I bought an OLEVIA and I am pleased. It was a coin toss between that or the Sony. I like the picture better on the Sony but I liked the features the OLEVIA had a little more.

Also-If you have 5.1 surround sound make sure your TV does too. I don’t think the Sony does. It is just Stereo sound.

I’m looking at a Samsung, myself, specifically the LN40A650 (Samsung no longer appears to make 42” sets). But the best thing to do is to go to a couple of different big-box electronic stores and look at the TVs to see what suits you best. Take a favorite DVD, too, and test ‘em out.

When you do finally get one, get one of those calibration DVDs and adjust your set!

We just bought a 47” Phillips…. I lurve it. Not top or bottom of the line. I wanted a 42 but like the dummy I am, left my hubby alone to wait for the salesperson while I looked something else! It was bought and on the dolly before I even knew it
