What was the point of taking Co-op Campaign out of Resistance 2?

You can no longer play story mode on Resistance 2, I was wondering why the game director decided that this was necessary?

There’s no telling. I’ve never heard of the game.. what console or is it pc?

The director may have just thought it was an antiquated feature.

Platform is Playstation 3.

Yeah I guess. I’ve been hearing a lot of games are having the two player control dropped because everybody is online now. But what am I supposed to do, buy a new TV and PS3 so my girlfriend and other friends can play with me, ha ha ha.
