Have you discussed this with your doctor? It’s possible that the staph infections are coming from somewhere else?

Thank you. Yes, the doctors can’t figure it out. 2 years ago he had to have a thoracotomy done, because the staph infection had set up in his lungs. Now, he is still continuing to get little infections. We have seen alot of Dr.s, we even went to an ifectious disease Dr. and still no luck. I am wondering what in the world is happening. Thank you.

I have had this staph infections and a big place you can get them from is gyms or places that you work out and that’s something to consider.

I am not sure about anyone else who has had this staph infection but mine has came back more than once in different places. Thankfully when it came back it wasn’t as severe as the first but it’s still a worry of mine.

Dehumidify your house as germs survive longer on damp or moist surfaces and keep bleaching. Keyboards, phones and remotes are virtually impossible to clean but you can Freeze these items for a couple of days to knock off the baddies. Linens on hand towels should not be shared and his should be changed out daily. You need to hyper vigilant over what and where he touches anything especially the bathroom.

The MRSA has generalized in his body. You need to have a test done to get WHICH antibiotic exactly his MRSA will respond to. Then take the FULL course of meds. Also he needs to bathe with Hibbiclens all over for like 10 days. He also needs to treat the boils with muciprocin. Unfortunately most doctors aren’t agressive enough with MRSA because they just hope it will resolve itself. Since the MRSA passed over into community acquired…. Gyms, schools, sexually transmitted, it has been hard to erradicate. SEE another doctor and insist!

You really need to discuss this with your doctor. I would suggest continue your cleaning vigilance, if it’s continuing, think about what you could be missing and increase your cleaning accordingly. You could also have your home professionally cleaned by a company qualified for such work.
