I am tring to reply to my friend in Fluther but every time I click on "reply" it takes me to our earlier conversations. Is there anything I can do?

I scrolled down, there a message box, but why is there a message box there it is from three weeks ago. I posted about the glitch anyway. It posted but it still needs to get back to normal, to logical.

That’s exactly where you want to be, just type your message in the box. The feature is brand new so it might take a while for the conversations to catch up.

One sec. I’ve identified the bug. It will be fixed shortly.

@timtrueman , okay it gives you the message box to reply on, but why the older messsages there? People will waste time trying to figure out what is going on, “I didn’t ask for those older mesages why is it giving it to me, I want to go back and forth to refer to the latest message, as I respond to it” right? That is my thinking anyway.

OK, so there were two bugs. I figured out the second one. It was getting the oldest 50 messages instead of the newest 50. It will be fixed in a minute. (We only get 50 because some conversations are over 1000 messages and building a 1000 message page actually can break the site.)

@timtrueman This is the first time I have come accross a glitch in this site, I like this site. By the way, it says “46 messages”. If I click on older at the bottom I get the oldest. Again, I love this site, in general.

Is it possible to have it warn us to pick the ones we can afford to lose whether they are the oldest or among the newest? I mean instead of deleting the earliest automatically?

No messages are deleted. We just only show the last 50 on the threaded view. You can still browse comments as usual—all the way back the the first one you got.

@timtrueman How come your postings to me are not ending up here? They are going to the private email place, How did that haoppen?

I should not have copy and pasted the the latest conversation in this thread, with the moderator, from the private mail segment.
