what is this sdk I've been reading so much about?

dont wanna look stupid, but I wanna know what its gunna do for my phone.

Software Devolpment Kit You will be able to put software in to your phone. No more need to jailbreak. It is going to freaking rock. You could search “iPhone” in fluther from your pc to find out more.

A set of tools developers can use to create applications. I don’t think you need to install it if you’re not going to create applications – installing should work fine without. Or course, Wikipedia knows all.
