Anyone remember mouton jackets?

Most of you have probably never hear of a mouton jacket. they were very popular in the 50s and 60s. women would have given anything to own one. my sister-in-law had one and was the envy of our whole family. whatever happed to mouton jackets for women? will mouton jackets ever make a comback?

I think I own one, and wore it out tonight…!

I’m a big vintage clothing person. I have a brown coat that I think fits the category from the late 60s that I picked up at a vintage store in Brooklyn. It’s definitely from a long-deceased sheep. And the wool is not curly.
