The most commonly referenced is the 1983 version with Al Pacino. The first gangster movie with the title Scarface came out in the 1930s, but the two movies share nothing in common other than the name.

@FutureMemory So wait, Al Pacino is Tony Montana right? But who plays in the 1930

Here is the wiki page for the 30’s version. I thought it was about Al Capone, but it says it’s only loosely based on his life. I’ve never seen the first one.

Oh ok. So the 1983 was the part when Tony Montana died by a shotgun on the back and fell on the pool, right? Because i want to get the movie

this is the 1983 right?

ok, thank you =)

The 30’s version starred Paul Muni, and is a far better movie than the 80’s tripe.

I’m with @filmfann. Skip the Brian De Palma crap. The 1932 movie is great.

Scarface (Pacino) isn’t that good. It has some gratuitously violent moments, but it’s a bore.
