What is this latin quote?

the quote basically says “it is the folly of youth that they think every idea that comes into their heads is first time it’s ever been thought”...or something like that.

I remember reading a quote like that somewhere. I remember hating it because it’s so snobbish. Let the youth have their wise foolishness; just because they still have th spirit to hold their ideas valuable is no reason to cut them down. Old ideas seen with new perspectives is what brings about new ideas. A sense of discovery is necessary for complex perspective and if that requires a foolish notion of originality, so be it.
