Can anyone help me with my iphone problem?

Asked by peinrikudo6 (196points) August 16th, 2010

So, I bought an iphone about two weeks ago, and just now, it shut down without warning. It won’t turn on unless I plug it into an outlet charger. When it turns on, it can’t find a signal, has no wi-fi, I can’t send or receive calls or texts or basically do anything with it. I’ve never had an iphone, have no idea what’s going on, and would appreciate any help I can get! I’m hoping someone has experienced this before! :/

Have had an iphone for a year and have never experienced that or anything close it. If it were me, I would be at the Iphone store as soon as I could get there. Big problem…sorry.

Yeah, I’ve tried searching Google but it’s of no avail. It will only come on when its plugged into a wall charger, and the moment it’s unplugged it goes dead. I guess I’ll just have to go to the apple store and see what’s going on. The funny thing is, an alert comes on the screen when it’s on that says the iphone needs to be restored to its original settings, but it’s useless if I can’t plug it into the computer without it dying.

Thanks anyway though. :)

It could be that the battery has problems. Pretty sure a trip to get it replaced is in order.

Yeah, I found it pretty weird. I mean, at first it crashed almost every other day, and then for a few days it stopped crashing, so I thought, “Okay, well, maybe it was just something normal.” Obviously, it wasn’t, and I’m going to the apple store tomorrow. Unfortunately, I bought the iphone at AT&T and not at the apple store, so I’m probably out of luck. :/
