How can i text to a cell phone from a computer?

yahoo email has an option to send text messages to cell phones—i’ve used it—works well

You can do it through any email. The phone will have an email address, depending on what carrier you have. If your phone number was (123)456–7890 and your carrier was verizon, the phone’s email address will be 1234567890@vtext.com. I know this because I use Verizon. I haven’t used any other carriers so I don’t know about them.
The easiest way to figure it out if you don’t know what it is, is just to send a text from your phone to your email account (There’s no special procedures needed, just put your email address in where you would normally put another person’s phone number).

If you have a mobile you could always try the company you are connected with. They may have a link available on their website and if they do normal text costs will most likely apply.
