Don’t feel bad, it took me forever to get the hang of that. Since I see Saturated_Brain is already crafting a response, I’ll let him/her show you how.
You place quotation marks around a word which you’d like to turn into a link, like so:
Step 1: ” example ”
Then after that you add a colon after the closed quotation marks, like this:
Step 2: ” example ” :
Then after that you place the url of the website you want, like this:
Step 3: ” example ” : http://www.fluther.com
So now you just remove the spacing between the quotation marks, the colon, and the url so that it becomes:
example
Ta-dah!
Of course, I still have no idea how to make it such so that those urls with brackets in them (like those wiki ones) will be part of the hyperlink (eponymousehipster’s method still doesn’t work for me)
Wow, that was enlightening. I had no idea how to do that either! Thanks @Saturated_Brain
@Saturated_Brain thanks, a lot more basic then I thought it was and am slightly amazed I never figured it out on my own. very much appreciated.
muahahahhahaha!
I’m really going to abuse this new found ability until you all hate me.
Damn I still can’t do it :(

@Saturated_Brain @augustlan Please help!!! I’m ok with this until I get to the part about removing ” the spacing between the quotation marks, the colon and the url”
what exactly is mean’t by this?
Okay… I’m gonna do this really step by step..
Let’s say we start out with this:
” example ” : http://www.fluther.com
So okay… Here’s
Step 1: ” example ” : http://www.fluther.com
Step 2: ”example ” : http://www.fluther.com (as you can see I removed the spacing between the first quotation mark)
Step 3: ”example” : http://www.fluther.com (now the word ‘example’ is totally enclosed by the two quotation marks without any spacing)
Step 4: ”example”: http://www.fluther.com (No spacing between the second quotation mark and the colon, see?)
Step 5: ”example”:http://www.fluther.com (Now I’ve removed all the spacings between the url, the colon and the quotation marks so that the whole thing is one phrase)
You should end up with:
example
It took me about a month to figure it out. Now I feel accomplished because you can do this.
Guys are you able to see the video?
@Tink1113 It takes me to a page where it says I can watch the video, but when I try it says Firefox won’t let me. :(
