Is it possible to copy downloaded games from one wii to another?

I bought a new Wii and wanted to be able to transfer all of the games that I purchased and downloaded online to my current one into the new system. I’ve read that this is not possible in some places and different opinions in others. Has anyone successfully done this and how?
