How many predominantly Islamic nations does the US have to invade before Muslims finally realize we mean them no harm?

It seems reasonable to ask after Senator McCain launched his mini-invasion of Syria on the 27th of May. Even if Obama remains so cowardly that he refuses to arm the… erm… well, whoever over in Syria wants weapons; we’ve certinly demonstrated our love for the Muslim nations of the Middle East. Just look at all we’ve done for Iraq. Right now, we have troops in Afghanistan, Turkey, Morroco, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Djibouti. We did Lebanon back in 1958 and the Philipines back in the 1960s. Since “our wonderful Ronald Reagan” cut a deal with the Iranians not to release the embasy hostages till after he won the election in return for the Iran Contra exchange, and his short-lived deployment of Marines to Lebanon (man he was tough on defense) we’ve been back to Lebanon twice with multinational forces, invaded Iraq, invaded Afghanistan and stayed, gone to Iraq again, dabbled across the Afghan border in Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, and helped the Egyptians and Libyans overthrow leaders our CIA installed there to begin with. We’re running out of places to invade, and still they don’t get that we love them. What is it going to take? How often must we visit our Muslim friends before they come to realize how much we love them?
