How do you define 'class'?

Google definition: Informal Elegance of style, taste, and manner: an actor with class.

I’m just curious because another Q asked about being P.C. and it seems strange to me that people are pretty comfortable not being P.C. and not caring who they offend.

Some southerners define class as how comfortable you make others feel. Not being PC purposefully intending to hurt others, to me, means that you lack class.

Does that not matter anymore? Maybe it’s old-fashioned to care about how others perceive you?

Do you think that the world would be a better place for all of us if we all tried a little harder not to purposefully offend or hurt each other?
